My 5 cents
The search for stations and the launching of Dr.Web for Windows scanners on target hosts is performed remotely using Dr.Web CureNet! Master. The Master is a Windows application that can be installed on any computer running Windows 2000/XP Professional/2003/2008/Vista/Windows 7. Dr.Web CureNet! Master can be launched from any removable data storage device including a USB flash drive.
A connection to a host is established using the rights of a current user or a list of passwords for the stations in the network. |
| Master scans the network for connected hosts before the anti-virus software is distributed between workstations. |
Scanning can be performed on all available hosts or on selected workstations and servers. Hosts are selected by IP address or IP address range, by mask or by NetBIOS name. |
| When the scanning is completed, all available hosts will be displayed in the Master’s window. |
Two types of scanning – Express and Full – allow you to choose the desired scanning depth. In most cases the default settings are the best choice. |
| An individual scanning configuration can be used to customize the responses of the scanner software to different events. See the “Features” page for more information. |
| Once scanning is launched, progress can be viewed in real time in the statistics tab of Dr.Web CureNet! Master. |
